Andrew Cane (Manager)

Andrew started the business from scratch in 1985, just after the launch of CDs. Dealing principally in Classical recordings, Prelude Records has become the largest classical specialist in the East of England. Andrew has a particular interest in Late Romantic / Twentieth Century Music and is a keen viola player.  He has performed with numerous orchestras and chamber groups including the Academy of St Thomas, and whilst at school was lucky enough to play in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, under conductors including Pierre Boulez, Simon Rattle and Charles Dutoit.



Chris Marr (Assistant Manager)

Chris is a composer. He graduated from UEA with a BA Hons and MMus in 1998 and then studied composition with Peter Wiegold. Formerly a Choral Scholar with Norwich Cathedral Choir, he joined Prelude Records in 2001. Chris's recent compositions include a percussion concerto for Richard Benjafield and pieces for Ensemble Bash, Viva Voce and the City of Southampton Orchestra. His music has been performed on BBC Radio 3 and he has been shortlisted twice by the Society for the Promotion of New Music. More information can be found at www.christophermarr.com



Sussanna Brown (Assistant)

Sussanna recently qualified in Music Therapy at Anglia Ruskin University, following her BA in Music at UEA. She is a keen flautist and has travelled extensively, particularly in relation to humanitarian projects in Bulgaria and India.

Sam Moore (Assistant)

Sam Moore

Originally from Cornwall, Sam has been a part-time member of the team since 2003. He graduated with a degree in music from the University of East Anglia in 2007 and currently combines language teaching with working at Prelude Records. He plays the guitar and piano and particularly enjoys Baroque and early Twentieth Century Music.
