Andrew Cane (Manager)
Andrew started the business from scratch in 1985, just after the launch of CDs. Dealing
principally in Classical recordings, Prelude Records has become the largest classical
specialist in the East of England. Andrew has a
particular interest in Late Romantic / Twentieth Century Music and is a keen viola player. He has performed with numerous orchestras and chamber groups including the Academy of St Thomas, and whilst at school was lucky enough to play in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, under conductors including Pierre Boulez, Simon Rattle and Charles Dutoit.
Keith Hobday (Assistant Manager)
As a violinist, Keith is sometimes to be heard debating the relative merits of Heifetz versus
Perlman, and as a seasoned performer at numerous weddings and social functions (with his
Quartet), he can always suggest the right music for that special event. Since its in inception in 2003, Keith has been Orchestral Manager of the Norwich Pops Orchestra.
Chris Marr (Senior Assistant)
Chris is a composer. He graduated from UEA with a BA Hons and MMus in 1998 and now studies composition
with Peter Wiegold. Formerly a Choral Scholar with the Norwich Cathedral Choir, he joined Prelude Records in
2001. Chris's recent compositions include a percussion concerto for Richard Benjafield and pieces for Ensemble Bash,
Viva Voce and the City of Southampton Orchestra. In 2006 Chris was put on the shortlist of the Society for the Promotion of New Music.
Sussanna Brown (Part-time Assistant)
Sussanna recently graduated with First Class Honours from the UEA, Norwich, where she gave many solo flute and chamber recitals during her time there.
She has toured Italy and Germany, and also plays the piano and percussion (along with the didgeridoo). At university
Sussanna carried out extensive research into the work of John Tavener and enjoys composition.
